What
is coaching?
The "how" of change! Coaching is a powerful, one-on-one
partnership that empowers clients to take action in the areas
that they want to experience lasting change. Unlike counseling
or consulting, Coaching establishes the client as the expert
and focuses on the future, helping to guide them to their own
innate wisdom and undeveloped strengths, moving them toward
positive change.
A good
coach knows how: to deeply listen, to reflect, to hear what
is not being said (intuit), to ask powerful questions, to empathize,
to challenge and to offer unbiased and thought provoking perspectives.
In each session, the client chooses the focus of the conversation
while the Coach listens and contributes observations and questions.
This interaction creates clarity, thereby generating the momentum
necessary to assist the client in starting and maintaining a
positive course of action. Coaching accelerates this process
by providing greater focus and awareness, resulting in clear
steps being shown to reach desired goals.
